As a guitarist, Bruce Ferrara has been influenced by several of the great horn players; John Coltrane, Miles Davis, and Wayne Shorter, as well as expressive guitarists John McLaughlin, Pat Metheny, and Jimi Hendrix. His playing is characterized by an electric, vocal-like, percussive openness.

You can hear Bruce’s contribution to the Factory Jazz Project in various formats - trio, quartet, or double trio - according to musicians joining him on a given night. The music is electric and rooted in visceral rhythmic ideas, relying on a free structure and interplay between musicians, energy and audience.
